This is a deeper look at Jeff Fletcher’s journey, the experiences, lessons, and mindset that shaped his Positive Mindset Songs.
I’ve been putting on singing shows ever since I can remember. As a small child, I’d perform for family and friends, pretending to sing and play guitar. I always knew I wanted to be a singer.
School was rough — I was shy, anxious, and spent most of my time in my own world. My thoughts could spiral fast, so I used my imagination to sing in my mind — it was the only way I could find peace. I wasn’t interested in exams or fitting in; I just wanted to create songs. I wrote my first one at seven years old, about chewing gum, and I’ve been writing ever since.
By sixteen I’d joined a band, started singing (badly at first), and discovered that songwriting was my lifeline. A few early demos caught the attention of London record labels, and though they said I needed vocal training, that spark kept me going. I’ve been performing, writing, and improving ever since — through all of life’s twists and reinventions.
Over the years I’ve run all kinds of small businesses — from painting and decorating to driving an ice-cream van — but music was the one thing that never left me. After a challenging period, I found myself performing in care homes as part of community work, and something clicked. I realised how deeply music can reach people — how it can lift the atmosphere in a room and change how someone feels inside.
In the early 2000s, a flyer for yoga and meditation classes in Glastonbury changed everything. I recognised that the “daydreaming” and inner journeys I’d always used to cope were actually a form of meditation. That insight turned my whole life around.
Today I live in Somerset with my wife Christina, and I perform what I call Positive Mindset Songs — original, uplifting music written to motivate, inspire, and help listeners ease anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional heaviness. Every song I write is a reminder that we can shift our focus, tune our vibration, and create a better reality from the inside out.
Through busking, live shows, and my YouTube channel, I share that message with anyone who needs a lift. Because I know firsthand — music can save your life if you let it.
